"Every exit is an entrance to someplace else." -Tom Sheppard-

Easy you might to say, just pack up and move. It may not be that easy, in fact, this can be difficult for ma ny people. Take for example, some people are afraid to try living away from their home town. There are many reasons why this is a major decision for some. I want to discuss this further based on Mr. Sheppard's quote of the week.

Years ago, while living in another state, with a great job, I was called into my bosses office along with my coworkers. He stated that the company was starting up another office in another state. We had 6 weeks to decide if we would take a promotion and move to the new location or keep our current position and stay with the company there. Those of us who decided to moved, we took the new position and promotion.d to that new job. I loved my town, my job, the people and everything that went with that time period in my life. What happened to change my mind? My job expanded and located other offices in another state. They made me an offer I couldn't refuse. Many of my coworkers did just that. They chose to remain where they were. Some of them with the company but without a promotion. Those of us who decided to take the journey to the new location, in another state, were promoted to new positions.

-Arthur C. Clark-

Many of us are guided by a fear of the unknown even when we find things that appeal to us. We embark on a plan to discredit the idea rather than researching further for oneself to see what happens or what is the truth.
